"State Farm has been an absolute nightmare, and this has been one of the most infuriating customer experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve paid over $10,000 in premiums, and the second I needed them to do what I pay them for, the entire process turned into delays, excuses, and tactics that feel deliberately designed to avoid paying claims. The first issue was a cracked windshield on my Mercedes. I went to the dealership, the same dealership that sold me the car and installs factory OEM glass, and they quoted $2,500. State Farm immediately labeled it “unnecessarily expensive” and pushed me to Safelite for a $1,800 option that conveniently sits just under my $2,000 deductible. That alone speaks volumes. While I was there, a Safelite employee flat out told me the glass they were preparing to install was manufactured in China and was not equivalent to Mercedes OEM glass in safety or quality. So despite paying premium insurance rates for a premium vehicle, I was expected to accept lower quality parts purely so State Farm could avoid paying anything at all. The second situation was even more outrageous. I was out of state for work and hit a curb with my Tesla. I sent the car directly to Tesla, the manufacturer and literally the only place in Tulsa that properly services Teslas. Tesla provided an estimate, and because I only had one week out of town, I had to move fast while also paying for a rental as costs kept increasing. The total repair came out to over $3,000. Once again, State Farm dismissed the estimate as “unnecessarily expensive” and tried to redirect me to a repair shop that does not even work on Teslas. That’s not problem solving. That’s stonewalling. I was told an adjuster would be sent out the following Tuesday. Then it became Wednesday. Then Thursday. It’s now the end of the day with no update, no call, no email, nothing. This feels like intentional delay, dragging the process out as long as possible while customers sit in limbo and continue paying out of pocket. Everything I’m asking for is clearly within the coverage I’ve been paying for, yet I’m treated like I’m trying to get away with something. Every interaction has felt dismissive & defensive. Their goal is to scam customers, make more than they pay out after thier labor. Ray I genuinely regret ever choosing your branch of State Farm and I am strongly considering legal escalation because this is not how a legitimate insurance company should operate. If you own a luxury or specialty vehicle, be warned! Paying your premiums on time is expected, but when it’s their turn to stand behind you, they suddenly vanish."
